The Beginning and the End

I visited Raymond at the hospital today. Took half a day off work... it was worth it. My heart broke at the sight, but rejoiced at his condition.

He was moving and could open his eyes!

I tapped him on his hand, and he opened his eyes. Cintia and I waved at him, and he waved back! He responded a little and waved a 'byebye', closed his eyes and went back to sleep in his 'drowsiness'.

We took turns to enter the ICU. Then we talked to his family... his Dad, brother and uncle were so happy that he had started to respond to them. His dad was joking that Raymond looked shocked and couldn't recognised him and pretended to sleep because he didn't want to get a scolding... lol... his dad is very funny too... Raymond just couldn't stay awake too much as the sedation was slowly easing off and he was still in the 'drunk and drowsy' mode.

We spoke to his family and the nurses.
Oh.... how divinely God had intervened in this WHOLE SITUATION.

THANK GOD because...

Policemen were nearby and rushed to his rescue...

They reached him and his was almost stopping breathing, they were able to assist him in respiring... his hand was cold and limp.

They called for EMERGENCY and 3 ambulances nearby were contacted and rushed to his rescue.

He suffered no physical injuries...

Of so many contacts on his phone, paramedics randomly called Dexter (who had not been in phone contact with Raymond for weeks).

Dexter informed us, and everyone began praying from that moment onwards.

Thank God for all that, and his life was saved.

The whole church prayed for him at prayer last night. His many friends were praying... and even his long lost uncle was praying.

Thank God also, that Raymond volunteered in Church office and knew Ben Seah, who happened to have a free room in his house, so they could provide free accommodation for Raymond's family who came!

I manage to speak to Raymond's uncle today. His uncle was Raymond's Dad's distant cousin who had been relocated to Brisbane 20 years ago. And Raymond, being 21, had not even met this uncle before.

But this uncle, upon receiving the phone call from Raymond's Dad, visited Raymond at the hospital, to hear from the nurse that a group of friends had been with him from the time he was in the hospital until now. He sensed in his heart, they were God's people... and he was so blessed to realised we were Chrisitians when he met us.

Raymond's uncle managed to share God's love with Raymond's Dad and brother... and even to my dear friend Wen Huey! Praise God...

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
- Romans 8:28 (NIV)

God is GOOD!

Let us continue to uphold our dear brother-to-be in prayer, for speedy recovery and no complications. Pray that his pain would be removed and he will be back with us really soon! And most importantly, that our dear brother-to-be will know the love and grace of Jesus and come to experience and accept Him into his life!

On a lighter note, I told Raymond to picture me dancing and I was singing to him a couple of songs in the room. The nurse told me not to make him laugh, or he would start coughing... oops. But so happy for Raymond!!

Keep praying friends... God hears our prayers as we send and claim them in FAITH!

Yes - our kite of Faith!!! (oops.... Raymond carrying my bag for me..! hehehe... bullied him.)

 We're praying for you Raymond!!
Judah 6 - a people of FAITH, HOPE and LOVE!

And of course... all you other wonderful prayer warriors out there!! Let us PRAY!

Let's pray that God will continue to bring to full completion of the work He is doing in the life of Raymond and his family, and see them come to know God in such a tangible way! Our God sees the beginning and the end! And He will be with us through ALL OUR SITUATIONS!! GOD IS GOOD!

"He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life."
- Revelations 21:6 (NIV)

Our God is Sovereign.

He is, He is!
