Happy Valentine's Day

This year's Valentine's day been interesting.

I call it - Va-LIN-tine's day. Haha... ok, Linsanity's caught up on me... I see Jeremy Lin like on every post of my facebook. So much so I'm feeling a little guilty about it.
I'll accredit this 'linsanity obession' to a couple of reasons:
- Jeremy Lin loves God
- Jeremy Lin is a great Asian basketballer
- Jeremy Lin gave credits to God and his team - a humble man
- I love God
- I enjoy watching testimonies of God in people's lives
- I love basketball
- I love Asian... men. HAHAHA..

Anyway.. no, my valentine's day hasn't been special because of Jeremy Lin.

It's been special cuz this year, there's this deep sense of security I feel like I've never felt before. In my walk with God the past years, I've always hoped for a special thing to happen on Vday.. or just something special. But this year, it's like I know, what God has taught me over the past 4 years.. and who my security is in.

This year, my day was special, because I worked hard at work. Deciding to give my all to glorify God, and learn to do my best in my tasks. And I succeeded... and I'm really glad.

And this year, my day was special too, because I spent my evening at Prayer Meeting... because I had things to pray for, because I wanted to touch God and to have that spiritual transaction with Heaven.

OK! Back to my tasks before I head to lala land... try to wake up for an early swim tomorrow at the new UQ Swimming Pool! *hopefully...*?

Alright, before I go... I really need to share this link on my blog.

My all time favourite rapper Jin drops the beat for Jeremy Lin. AYOJIN... AIYA!
Why do all these people I feature on my blog, kinda interlink some how?
Whichever way, I just want to keep them in prayer.

Enjoy.

Chorus
Yeah I been on my grind
reachin' for the top and You've been on my mind
they stready tryin' to stop my shine
but it's always been Yours its never been mine
You always come thru just in the nick of time
You come thru in the nick of time
You come thru in the nick of time
so I give it up to You everytime I shine

Verse 1
See this if life to me to you it's entertainment
its quite intricate and only I can explain it
to say I've come a long way would be an understatement
the moment of truth every single one is savored
chasing greatness not the pressure that it came with
far from picture perfect observe as I paint it
dealing with the games highs and lows
you win some you lose some yeah I suppose
but when the sweet smell of victory is by my nose
I see whats goin' on even when my eyes are closed
guarantee you're not stoppin' me or blockin' me
all I need is one shot promised you'll be shocked to see
the outcome I don't just play to win
everytime I lace up yeah I play for Him
doin' my all to make sure that Your glory is known
while they fighting for the title see the King on His throne

Verse 2
Yes I'm really here to serve You not just pretend to
with each setback I intend to
learn from experience and get better with time
no matter what I achieve none of the credit is mine
in the grand scheme of things You're the head of design
and in any circumstance You said I'll be fine
the ultimate play maker I follow Your lead
never find need to feed into these naysayers
who repeatedly told me that I would never make
You're probably testing me to see if I could take it
the bond between us they could never break it
all that You have given me I shall not forsake it
Your grace patience and all of Your love
which one don't I deserve it's all the above
where amazing happens I love this game
only one reason I'm playing and God is His name

Get Your Weight Up

I go to the gym regularly. So I know what this song means for me.

Enjoy.

For the original version?

Haha... why, but nowadays, artists are beginning to bring out the truth in real nakedness and honesty.
Yay, I see growth in the way the Gospel is shared.

It really isn't that much anymore about adopting a set of rules to follow and 'be Holy'. But instead, it's a walk of recognising Grace and walking honestly, allowing God to transform us so who we become, is REAL!

Haha.. rap music!
Didn't know God was hotter than rockin' four sweaters! :)

Self Amused + Truth without Photoshop

Decided to take a cyber stroll, and found myself re-reading my old days.
Me, I started blogging since 2003. For the longest time in my life, I wrote on only one blog/diary. All the way till 2008, I found myself paddling between two blogs - this and the old. In 2009, I totally gave up my previous blog... and began filling the new wine skin.

Looking back at those previous entries totally amused, or should I say, amazed me.
Year 2003, that meant I was sixteen going seventeen.
I wonder how this blog will look in another 10 years' time!
Oh well.

Prayer for a Friend

A couple of things have already made it's mark in 2012 for me. Couple of shocking news for a friend I've been praying for since I knew her. From a distance not too far, nor too near, I watched her make it through a couple of significant life stages in her life. All these while I kept her in my prayers, and watched her go through those stages. And in this season, she undergoes another massive life changing stage for her... one that many wouldn't want to go through. But for me, still far yet near, I can only pray, and await God's hand to heal the situation.

Truth without Photoshop

For awhile, I've been going through a book by Bishop T.D Jakes, "Naked but not Ashamed". A great book filled with truths about being ourselves and embracing our lives, sins and weaknesses, and allowing God, who already knows all about us, to heal us and set us free.
I will tell you more about it when I finish the book. But right now, I'd like to present to you Janette-ikz's earth shattering God anointed poem.. that threads upon similar lines.

The Truth without Photoshop by Janette-ikz.

My prayer & hope awaits many more who would stand up in boldness to be transparent and boast about God's work, healing, grace and strength in our lives.

We don't just live a ritualistic religious life. The truth will set you free, and set others free too.

Let's be transparent, decrease and let God increase in our lives.

:)

Where from and where to?

Lately there are so many thoughts in my mind. I feel like time and time again I'm back on the same spot, looking at what I lost, or being so sensitive cuz my security was placed upon humans again. Every time things become better, I feel happy for awhile. But the slightest disappointment from man, can cause me to relive every moment of hurt once again.

I live my life not conceited. I live my life for Jesus. Yet the world loves to find accusations against my intentions. I find myself at a point where I don't seek to explain anymore about the way I do things, or the reason why things happen. I love because I want to. I hurt, because I'm affected. My heart breaks, seeing the carnality of my surroundings and myself taken to a glorious state, instead of the Light of the Lord shining above all.

They say, a person who's heart is sick, tends to soon fall into sickness. Indeed, I've succumb to unknown forces of pressure that has affected me so much, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even physically. I'm once again down with the flu bug. :( But this time, I have to press on and battle it, because I had heaps of work to do...

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - Proverbs 13:12

I'm praying for hope to arise more within me. Maybe I've lost hope somehow down the road through a turn of events. I have lost sight of the Giver of Hope... the faithfulness of my Giver of Hope. Though I've been broken, and wrestling, God's been so faithful and in His still small voice calls out to me, "I won't let go of you."

I love Him. I love God.

Here's my inspired song... written in this very moment.

Where did these feelings come about
Feels like I'm running the circles route
Head's up in the clouds, inside tryna' doubt
Need navigation and peace to fill me throughout
Where have I come from and where am I heading
These thoughts battle within and it's bothering
me, to find a place where I can feel secure
Knowing deep down inside that my heart needs a cure
for the hurts that's scarred the precious heart of mine
each minute I look away feels like I'm losing time
it's either I keep searching or hitting these road blocks
or seek the Healer Giver who turn the hands of clocks

I know You're calling me to draw closer to you
These events in my life ain't just a coincidence for fools
You want my heart softened so you can use me as a tool
but most of all to have me close to you so I'll be full
no longer seeking left or right or strive to start a fight
with my inner soul desires battling against the light
if I let go and let You drive the wheel of my life
I know I'll be safe, trust you and let go of the strife
to know I'm loved even when I fail to do my best
cuz Your Grace sustains me when I up against the tests
especially when trials and hardships add the load upon my neck
I will lay them down and relieve the load cuz You've got my back

You Are The Reason

As more and more artists begin to open their spiritual eyes to see the Grace of God in their lives... they begin to churn out music that so reflects God's work in their lives.

Songs written that comes in plain nakedness in acknowledgment of our own carnal nature and our weak ways... and songs that so sings the heart beat of many Christians, the attempt of reaching out to God.

God is so perfect... we aim and strive so much to be like Him... and be Holy, but we eventually realise it's His Grace that sees us through... and faith that we develop as we take small steps in obedience.
Ouch... to see individuals serve God and seek God in their own strength... that really hurts. But on the other hand, seeing individuals understanding that He loves us no matter what, and that we can come to Him anytime, and He would throw His arms around our dirty bodies... that's really touching.

So this song... a new rapper that Jin recommended on his blog... whao, amazing... touched my heart the moment I opened the youtube link.

May this song bless you... (it's not a heavy rap song... really nice and gentle to the ears.. enjoy.)

And so.. I wrote the lyrics out too!!

You are the Reason

Chorus
Teach us to love
Because we are searching for the son
You are the reason
Though our world has come undone
Don’t hide away
You are the reason we are here
We need You with us
And to guide us again without  fear, you are the reason…

Verse 1
Everything I am I try to live my life for You
I want to glorify myself so now I’m all confused
Do I need your help, and do I need a saviour
I try to read Your word but I push if off for later
I never try to talk about You but I want Your help
I don’t pray about Your glory I just pray for wealth
I just pray for health, and I just pray for me
But I never really thought about it carefully
I tell myself I’m righteous, I’m on the only path
To make a solid living, but is it worth my past
I never thought that I could take control of things I do
But every time I did it always led me back to You
You feel so far away, I need You close to me
I can’t remember the last time that You spoke with me
I need You here right now, because I need a home
I need a reason for my life because I’m all alone

Verse 2
The reason You were beaten down was because of me
And every time I think about it You’re my company
But every time I say Your name they all make fun of me
Like do I really need Your Presence right in front of me?
I live my life conceded, no room for me and Jesus
Who cares if I succeeded, who cares if I repeated?
It’s not about my life, it’s not about my lines
It’s all about the Saviour, ‘cuz He was crucified
I never thought about it, but You’re my everything
And You will be there when I give my girl her wedding ring
And You will be there when I’m crying every tear I have
And You were with me when they came and took away my dad
You were with me when I moved into this basement
I forot about my past and the pain You just erased it
You’re the only one that I can believe in
And thanks to Your love my life has a reason

 Ending
Looking through the eyes of love
You know the world may seem a better place
And yet the moment that you realise
There’s so much pain before your very eyes

The Ambassador - Thesis Pieces

I usually try not to put more than one rap song up each day... because I so wish everyone would be able to appreciate and reflect on the lyrics of each song....

But I was just so feeling it today, and decided I'd share up here another one of The Ambassador's anointed raps.... oh yes... bring the gospel to the rap society... praise the Lord.

[Verse 1]
Looks like it finally came around like the hands of a clock
Praise to Yahweh Nissi
Shout to the Banner—Shabach
This LP is two sided—for the man on the block
And for the flock who thinks keeping God's commandment is hot
On one side we wanna represent Christ to the Culture
Hip-Hop mostly knows Him for making tight little posters
Or a sculpture, but they can't view Him like they're supposed to
'Cause the gospel's never been preached to them like its' supposed to
And the life in Christ has never even looked like an answer
Except for locked up crooks and Big Mas with cancer
So, Ambassador is back to give you his thesis
The greatest need in Hip-Hop is the input of Jesus

[Hook]
It's the thesis we need this
The story in short
Hip-Hop properly submitted to the glorious Lord
It's problematic 'cause
It can be scary to like
But... Jesus makes everything right (2x)

[Verse 2]
My topic—the redemption of Hip-Hop you got it
But I told you that this thesis is at least two sided
Can't just introduce Christ to the culture like an evangelist
The church needs to be schooled on hip-hop culture so plan for this
I'm a Christian admitin' were wastin' our wisdom
if we don't engage the streets, peep the nation of Islam
They promote a better culture and faith integration
But no resurrection or message of grace that can save men
So God's diggin' in the meeting place
Looking for those needing grace
To launch out from the over crowded breeding space
What will He find?
Just what He designed—Hip-Hop's got missionaries
He brought up for these times

[Hook]

I'm kinda catching up on all these great raps that's been written like so many years ago... some even up to more than 10 years ago... whao.. raps with so much meaning that then secular music nowadays. Just a little sad that the music's been so limited to the Christian world it doesn't walk that extra step out there! At least, not as well known as the more secular ones... we need to pray!!!

Please enjoy them with me.. and let me know if you share this common interest with me! Hee... I know it's hard for many to like rap music too~~

Let's keep the entertainment industry in prayer!!!

Get You Open

I've been feeling quite depressed today... yes... my car's still not ready.. and my experiments... ah, more than a week's work of immunostaining and growing them cells, experiment failed.

Despite all these, God is good~!!

But anyway... I thought I'd hop on to the joint of hip hop that never fails to bring a smile to my face. So I'mma share with y'all today... another song from The Cross Movement - Get You Open.

They're so anointed in their lyrics, and I'm so in love with their raps... filled with truth!

Enjoy~

Lyrics:

[Hook]
We goin' get you op... we goin' get you open

[Verse 1]
Ready or not I gotta tell you from the top it's on
Christ is God, for Him I've got to rock this joint
I was born around the same time Hip-Hop was formed
Vacant lots were swarmed, kids from the block performed
Soon cocky's norm
Rappers and cocky form
Went together like college and sloppy dorms
But the flows were butter like poppin' corn
And the shows would get you hyped like Rocky horns
Some couldn't understand why Poppy warned
"Stay away" till the day when rappers like Biggie and Pac were gone
But prior Christ came and got me on
Taught me not to trust in the biological clock we're on
We're in the age where the caps are peeled
Even in school young guns'll have you runnin' like track and field
And life after the casket's real
And since that's the deal
His word gets spilled when I grasp the steel
Forget mass appeal my heavenly Dad can deal
With making His word something that all cats can feel
I'll let grace talk 'cause grace stalks the stray hearts
She's got something in store that's super like K-Marts

[Hook]

[Verse 2]
Do you see what I see?
Hip-Hop is a drug and it's got the city plugged like an IV
Gotta give it up—it's the voice of the streets
It doesn't take much—just a voice and a beat
You can keep a crowd hyper
Control the souls of a whole generation kind of like a modern Pied Piper
Face it; today ya favorite rapper's the icon
That's gotta hold on you like the wrap of a python
Lights on—Christ is the hype jawn
For Him I've gotta get my write on
So whether in the streets or in the booth
I'm a get at you, and I'm a prove you don't need the gin and juice
Mommie you don't gotta—DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT
And if you do it 'cause you wanna—STOP IT LIKE IT'S NOT
Son if you like the gangsta mind... think of where them gangstas wind

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
Nix your smarts
I know one who tricks the smart
Slick's his art; his canvas is your wicked heart
You're in a spiritual fog and it's thick and dark
And like a spiritual frog you get picked apart
But I know One who'll fix the heart
Trust me he'll set you free like the girl from 106 and Park
So shine your light like when a wick gets sparked
And if you don't give him props then the bricks'll talk
We switched up, we switched the pitch up
The lyrical mixture is fully loaded with Scripture
But some are fancy and cute
When people can't understand
They say, "ahh you just can't handle the truth."
Nah the bad news is; while the gospel's an offense
lack of clarity and substance just adds to it
So leave out the trivial tricks
Moms and kids can both love it—kind of like the cereal Kix

[Hook]

Try singing along. It'll make you smile! hee..

Lord, don't give me no more than your servant can bear...

Happy birthday Eve + My Clothes, My Hair

Had a great weekend... I believe Evelyn's had a great weekend too... Exciting workout on her birthday~~ Wahaha (ask her about it!)... and also a shock on her Saturday bday celebration with the car (thank God it's all good now!).

Yeah... Judah 6 and 8 celebrating for her after LG~

Here are some other random funny photos!!

Eugene (feat Shannon)... lol.. song name?

Yum...!

Wahaha... Find Shannon!

We also had a great time hitting the West End of Brisbane together... too bad the photos haven't been uploaded! So I'm still waiting!

Testimonies after testimonies... Eve also shared her testimony at church today... a testimony that blessed so many hearts out there....

I've been so blessed just seeing God's hand in so many people's lives... from those in my family.. to those around me here.. and to those I've been following on Twitter...... and to even strangers... God has been so real! It blesses my heart each time I log onto Twitter and my feeds are flooded with short tweets by everyone praising God for something that just happened awhile ago! God is good yeah!

Yeah... so I told Nicole I'mma put her prayers needs up on my blog! So let's engage our best weapons now...

Let's pray for... 2 points today!
1. Evelyn will get her internship!
2. Nicole will get a part time job in Brisbane so she can afford to go to OC2010!

Thanks y'all...

Australia Day is on Tuesday... so it'll be a public holiday.. not for me though, I gotta head back to work... thankfully not the whole day! But yeah... it'll be James' birthday too, so we'll be doing something I guess..!

1 more week until I'm officially not in Judah 6... wah... bittersweet.
But I believe God has a great plan ahead! Go4GOD!

I was talking to Jessica in the car on the way home just now... and I mentioned something I read from Van Ness kor kor lately... 'You will never possess what you don’t pursue…Go4GOD~and the rest will follow.'

Some how I'm deeply encouraged.... and I was able to encourage her in the same way. Reminds me of what our was preached in church today... Be an encourager!

Mmm... and just wanna say kudos to Ray Chan's preaching today. I was greatly blessed by his preaching.... I'm sure he has been putting a lot of effort and time to make it fun for us!

Alright.. before I leave us at this and do my Japanese revision and head to bed.... Just wanna share with you another song from The Ambassador - My Clothes, My Hair.

Another awesome song that highlights the reality of God's love for us, regardless of our culture and interests! God loves you for who you are!

My Clothes, My Hair

And here of course, here are the lyrics.. listen and reading it at the same time makes you enjoy the rap more!

[Chorus]
So many people are hurt inside
Don't even know him even though they might have heard of God
Can He love me? Will He hear my prayer?
Or, think I'm ugly when He see's my clothes or sees my hair

I heard of a Savior heard He bled and died
We could give Him our sins and we could get his life
Yet I wonder for me if He will He even care
When He sees my clothes or when he sees my hair

[Verse One]
Let me get up in this verse right now
I'm thinking back to when we first got down
I only groped but when you searched I found
Snatched quick though you knew how I acted
That's what's sick, I was a pick that you drafted?
A backflip with a split couldn't be more backwards
In fact that's classic
I love to see your tactics
But I think back to when I'd shrink back on the real B
It's real deep; I really thought you could never feel me
Cause my shirts were double X when really I was a small
Double shirts for the effect when really it wasn't called for
Pants baggie- they sagged and dragged on the floor
But I was never that boy to show the back of his draws
But I did hang, kicked slang, me and my boys did
Rocked doo-rags till it put a crease in our foreheads
And on the surface others said we were worthless
But I'm glad you purposed to love us and you made us your purchase

[Chorus]

[Verse Two]
I was convinced of your power so I was down to comply with Your standard
Your God the Father- Creator- I was your product
But I noticed my focus it wasn't on You; my hope was you would
Meet me heaven but as for earth I'd roll with the hood
I really didn't want your heaven- just didn't want hell more
I really didn't want your presence- just didn't want hell more
I didn't know you were beautiful
You made advances but in fact I'd push you back like a cuticle
I was a bad date
But, now I know what it was you got lumped in with some people like a crab cake
They elevate their own; they celebrate
They make their own what's right
They say it's what you like
Everything else- they make it wrong
I'm glad you don't hate our music or fashion
Unless these things and how you intend us to use 'em are clashin'
Cause for us, this is just a part of the culture
But it's the reason why some think they shouldn't try to approach ya

[Bridge]
Man sees the outside
But God sees the inside
No matter your outside
Through faith He'll come inside (2x)

[Chorus]

[Verse Three]
I could weep
So many people never heard of the name
Yeah they heard the word "Jesus" but never heard of His fame
They feel cut off from Him
Not just cause of their sin
But because of their clothes, hair, or their color of skin
And they've been afloat- drowning in sin, we're in a boat
Yet they've never been approached
Cause we see them as different folks
God's offer's universal- yeah
He wants you in His circle- yeah
He wants you in the doo-rag
And He wants you in the purple hair
You can just take a cursory
Glance at the word and see
God made the plans of diversity
Is there one godly ethnic group
In the church should we all wear one polyester suit
Or maybe rock sandals and robes, no ham I suppose
When we meet maybe we should only eat salmon and loaves
Should we only like the organ or the violin
I'm inquirin', I admire men up in the choir and women
But one minute, why do some people assume that God's iPod
Got no tunes that got the "boom-bap"
He's with White, with Black, with Lat
With Asian with Rock, Country, Jazz, with Rap

It Was Love - The Ambassador

[Chorus]
It was love-What made Him bleed and cling to a tree
It was love-Unlike this world has ever seen before
It was love-What made Him bleed and cling to a tree
And get nailed to the form of a lower case "t"

To all my listeners; you're on my "got to get with ya list"
Scripture gives the run down, come now you've got to picture this
The evolutionist would call this ridiculous
Story of a love, a true love that got promiscuous
The true lover was a King they called Elohim,
Digt it, He was exquisite, always existed
For designer clothes He sported shekinah robes
The kind that glows, baggy, you know the kind that flows
He was awesome majestic, flawless, perfect with
All this you might ask what could be next
His outcry zoomed throughout the counsel of the Triune
Crank the volume, when God speaks it's a fly tune
"Let Us make man in Our likeness and Our image"
He sparked it, even before He started He was finished
And since it's a fact that every kid needs a nursery
Before He made man He made a universe-a world to be
A playpen you know a place to chill, one to play in
Fields to lay in, earth to rule, one to stay in
He took dust in His hands made a man
Breathed life into his frame, said, "Adam is your name"
It was all fun and games, no pain and no strain,
He named all the animals, they were pre-tamed
Man and his God chillin' like jellow with
Nothing to undermine the divine fellowship

[Repeat Chorus]

Curtain please, scene two, we see the surgery
Adam de-ribbed, now Eve lives, we see with certainty
God wanted the earth to be full so earth can see
God and glory go together like thermometers and mercury
Intertwined, Elohim was man's date
But it's a thin line between love and hate
And just like a person will be weary 'til rested
I guess love will always be theory 'til tested,
So check it, God put this tree off limits
He can do that, the earth is the Lord's and all that's in it
He meant it, He told Adam the truth about the one tree
He said if you eat the fruit then you're saying you don't want me
In other words you're saying, "Bye", I wouldn't lie
'Cause the day you eat from this tree you're surely gonna die
Why in God's name couldn't Adam maintain
No blame, if it was us we would have probably done the same thing
Satan tricked Eve, Eve gave to Adam,
Sin had them, death grabbed them, and on went the pattern
The earth got cursed on the day they dissed Jehovah
He said, "I told ya, now our relationship is over!"

[Repeat Chorus]

It really gets to me, it really is a mystery
Why with foresight God even let us ruin history
But the love story gets deper
Holiness makes Him hide from sin but His
love for men made Him a seeker
My heart is getting weaker, it's burnin' me bad
I earnestly ask why in eternity past
Did the Godhead agree that they would let man leave
Knowing the penalty-that they'd have to let man bleed?
But this is just a case of the lowliest
Questioning the infinite wisdom and the justice of the holiest
God's omnipotent and sovereign-"Yes I know He is"
And he's gracious and merciful-"The Bible told me this"
Took a human frame, Jesus was His human name
Doomed to hang on a cross casue we're His lost love
Resurrected just to get with you, if you get your cue
From Scriputre you can see he clearly pre-planned the switch-a-roo
He'd always planned to become a man, die as a substitute lamb,
Start a new fam of humans who can
Take the Son's hand in reply to
His proposal, "Will you marry Me?"-we say, "I do!"

Love-made Him bleed and cling to a tree
It was love-unlike this world has ever seen before
It was love-that made Him bleed and cling to a tree
Nailed just for you and nailed just for me
Lyrics: It was Love, Ambassador [end]

I had a dream the other night and I was freein' non-stop, the flow was just so good, I wonder where it came from. And then I woke up, and I realised, that it wasn't just a dream, but freein' could be so easy like it came out from just within'.

Here's just another set I wrote... may it bless your heart!

My God, His Holy Spirit has given me something,
this New Year and I'm gonna be doing some exploring
There are gifts and talents that still needs some using
and I won't confirm what they are but keep checking
back here if you might find out in random
the words that come out i can't fathom
the mysteries of heaven
yes the Spirit that works in 'em
and in His people and He hovers
across the waters He created
and oh I was gonna mention...

started this year without a voice but made it through the day
but you know i had a choice and God's light shone the way
i turned on my computer and there was some hate mail
yo instead of raging rather i chosed the peace rail
them who say i'm crazy 'bout God i really gotta say
a privilege you labelled me and ya all made my day
too much critics but i'm glad that randoms came this way
to my blog to pick it douse flame or make play

and i know the rebuke ain't for me to make chase
all i gotta do is pray and just in case,
you wondered or pondered or cracked at the thought why i bothered
that's because of Grace
that was bought at a cost - His life
i'm redeemed, set free from a life full of strife
so now i'm forgiven and able to forgive
to my enemy who's thirsty, water i will give
if you slap me on the left i will turn you my right
and press on to be Jesus' salt and light!

you know in this world we can never please man
if you have the bible yo now hold it in your hand
Galatians first ten states it real nice
so you know all i wanna do is please my Lord, Christ
and i wanna sing and write for the glory of the Lord
cut pride and let humilty saturate my guitar chords
music and the Spirit nicely entangles deep within
let the Lord write my music and the songs be sang for Him

you know what friends, i sense, this year its gon be fun!!
it's gonna be exciting... didn't say it was gonna be easy....

but.... let's just keep praying and let God do the rest!

Praying for this year...

1. Family
- God's protection and covering upon all my family and relatives
- My family to be united in His Spirit
- Dad and Sis to encounter God in personal ways and to come to know the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
- Salvation in my family and relatives!

2. Friends
- Praying for protection and covering upon my Singapore, Brisbane friends.. and friends all over the world.. that God will continue to extend His favour and tangibility upon every single on of them... drawing closer and closer different individuals to Him.

3. Sheep
- Protection and covering upon my dear sheep that the Lord has entrusted upon my care.
- Spiritual growth and deeper convictions in the Lord.
- Blessings from God upon their lives...!

- Protection and covering upon all my spiritual leaders!
- God's anointing, favour, wisdom and discernment to continue to pour forth upon them as they minister in His Spirit.
- God's guidance upon their lives as they grow spiritually too! And of course, blessings upon their lives..!

5. Media and Entertainment Industry
- God's kingdom to continue to advance in the Media and Entertainment Industry, claiming back from the hands of Satan what rightfully belongs to the Creator!
- Pray that more artistes and entertainers come to know the need for Jesus in their lives, especially in fighting against the temptations and immoralities the industry offers.
- Pray for protection and covering upon current Christian entertainers, for spiritual covering upon their lives and minds. Pray against temptation that Satan may use against them.
- Pray that the current Christian artistes will support one another in their faith and stand firm in their convictions and faith, and will continue to rise up to touch lives for Jesus where they are!

6. Myself...
- God's protection and covering upon my life..
- Deeper understanding of His Word. To be able to wield the Sword skillfully and carefully.
- A heart of humility, gentleness and love in my daily life..
- Faithfulness in a deeper and more intimate prayer life.
- Improving in my guitar and composing skills.
- Increase anointing as God takes me to greater responsibilites..
- God's strength to juggle between my responsibilites (Work and Ministry)...

My Own Worst Enemy by Jin

My 2nd entry for the day...

Since I've posted one of Jin's awesome Holy Spirit inspired work... let me just show you another... it's so awesome... God is using this man.... He's such an inspiration...

Sometimes, I really thank God for Jin. Hee... and his salvation (rededication) really came at such an appointed time that a year after I became a Christian and started being convicted about quitting those sexually immoral and prideful rap songs....

God brought forth so many more anointed rappers into my life..
Coffey... Jin... and the list goes yeah?

God is awesome!

Well, enjoy another reflective rap from my all time favourite rapper - Jin!

Lyrics:
I know Im far from perfect and I dont ever pretend be
when I am gone I wonder how you will remember me
the only thing that youll have left of is a memory
dont have a lot of friends and Im my own enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy
(I can be) my own worst enemy
(and I know) my own worst enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy

when I look inside the mirror who do I see
trapped individual tryin to be free
that would be that would be that would be be me
but my worst enemy he eventually
jumps out I dump out ready to run
under the sun thinkin to myself is there anyone
out there who understands my pain and terror
Im tired of livin life by trial and error
mascara couldnt make up things that went wrong
so I sat down with a beat and came up with this song
all night long I stayed up this beat isnt made up
this is actual fact this is actual rap
who can I blame who can I blame
blame it on the wealth blame it on the money
the power I blame it on myself
I didnt write down not a single word of this
but my worst enemy yeah I know he heard of this

I know Im far from perfect and I dont ever pretend be
when I am gone I wonder how you will remember me
the only thing that youll have left of is a memory
dont have a lot of friends and Im my own enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy
(I can be) my own worst enemy
(and I know) my own worst enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy

I wanna have a big house a big bank a million bucks
whos stoppin me whos stoppin me
I wanna be on top of the world somewhere nobody
can touch
whos stoppin me whos stoppin me
theres only one person and that person is actually
quite near
from where Im standing that person is right here
next to me who could it be
the one with all the power
the truth can eat you up I feel like Im being devoured
a coward is someone who doesnt stand up
for whats right
thats why you barely see me sittin when Im jammin
on the mic
I practice what I preach and what I preach is all I know
so all I need to know now is which way do I go
to the right to the left either way Im out of breath
so I need to take a break please tell the ref
as far as I go Im the first to sympathize
but at the same time Im the first to criticize

I know Im far from perfect and I dont ever pretend be
when I am gone I wonder how you will remember me
the only thing that youll have left of is a memory
dont have a lot of friends and Im my own enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy
(I can be) my own worst enemy
(and I know) my own worst enemy
(yes I am) my own worst enemy

Welcome to the Light Club by Jin

Here's my all my favourite rapper Jin. Play it, lyrics are here.

I got a session booked for 7 and its 6:35
so I got 25 minutes to conjure up this rhyme
its been a long time right stepped away from the limelight
but the breaks over Holy Spirit takeover
they say the truth will set you free if you so believe
Jesus is the truth with Him freedom can be achieved
I feel the need to let loose right at this instance
confession booth vocal booth really what's the difference
see when I use to battle I declared I'm the boss
I couldn't be defeated.. until I lost
not once not twice my opponents were killin' me
ego crushed but it also taught me humility
was once on the top sent straight to the bottom
some thought double r dropped him others straight forgot him
I used to hear the side commentary and get upset with it
until I realized what was said had some sense in it
no excuses for the stupid records that I made
would I still be sayin' this if those records had got me paid?
I can't call it either way I'm tryin' to save what's left of
my soul and not just what's goin inside my wallet
the beat was the canvas the paint was my rhymes
never thought that I could use my art to infiltrate ya minds
i used the mic to express how I possessed a lota skills
my lust for the opposite sex and 100 dolla bills
Common said He Used To Love H.E.R. yo she still
my baby so it's only right I learn to treat H.E.R. like a lady
you want raps about pimpin'  killin' snitchin' ballin'?
you won't get 'em from me naw that's not my callin'
God Almighty reached out I mean this sincerely
He spoke to me like Morgan Freeman did to Jim Carey
it's no coincidence he got me out in Hong Kong
that I'd get it poppin' out here He knew it all along
listen to have much faith requires practice
they'll probably say I'm trippin' they did it to John the Baptist
this is not a rumor God is so great
I'm a late bloomer got baptized in '08
better late than never that's how the saying goes
all my brothers and sisters that are praying knows
Mark chapter 10 the 31st verse
the first shall be last and the last shall be first

Amen.

Our first recording + some photos

I've been really tired lately... December every year is like that. Yet when I look at what I've done and what the others have done, feel like I could do more... yet, I'm forever restricted by my lack of energy... wonder where all the energy goes to.... maybe just cuz I've got acquired ADHD makes my energy run dry daily...

Wished I could be more focused, as the Lord told me. In the process of re-moulding and sanctification. Really not by works man....

Anyway, here's a video of Kuzi and I doing our first recording ever in our lives. We've never rehearsed before... we were just randomly playing and singing it the night before and were drawn into doing this small little gig for everyone. Thank God so many of them went home after Bible discussion!

So... here's the clip! Enjoy~

Yes... everyone says my entries are long and naggy... but that's how I write ma... anyway... I don't have no energy to nag today... so, that's all for now friends..!

Maybe just to top it off, some photos of my life of late?

Mince pork veggie meat ball noodles I cooked one night.

The Conference at Canberra I went to 2 weekends ago

The comfortable chairs of the conference hall made it so hard and 'easy' for me....
Tending the booth

The Shine Dome - the conference venue from outside.
It's actually at ANU.

A cafe near to our hotel and conference venue.

Couldn't help but be reminded of Kwayti Yek Yek Venurs

And a BIBLE LANE!

Giraffe the Leslie with his new found friends from ABI and Invitrogen.

A short break we had during the conference was well spent at the Parliment House.
Minoru, Fenny, Mel, Me and Set Yen and the old Parliment House behind.

Behind us stands the new Parliment House.

The Senate... or was it House of Representatives? Haha.. forgot.

And I won in a lucky draw - Ipod Touch! Wahaha.. posing for that company... think I'm gonna be on their website... but I wore Singapore Polytechnic instead of ASCC... oops.
