Prayer beyond words

She knows it's bed time. But her heart lurks before the entrance of emotional thoughts gathered. To enter or not to enter?

The King knew her all too well. He called for her out of those thoughts. He knew what bothered her heart. Speaking to her through a paragraph in T.D Jakes' book...

"Understand that real prayer was not made for human ears. If you have a problem that can be easily prayed in public, then it is not a problem. When we earnestly pray, we are surprised at how inner feelings we didn't even know we had come to the surface. In that regard, prayer is a nausea of the mind. It brings up the unresolved past that swirls around and around inside us." - T.D Jakes

She closes the book, a glimmer of hope in her heart that what she just read would resound comfort and instill hope in another. The melancholic expression may not aid in relaying any hope but in its simplest form had allowed the King to speak to her. Thus, in the same way, she knows the King would take care of the rest.

The hands of the clock had not struck, she knows her simple hope would send angels working. Indeed, the above resonates within her the true depth of prayer.

She says a prayer and signs off. Knowing it's all good in the King's hands.

Naked and Not Ashamed by Bishop T.D Jakes

I intended to wait till I finished the book. But I can't wait.  (ah.. so much talking about 'waiting' this year?! haha)

Anyway, it's a good book, and I highly recommend it. Or you can borrow it from me... :)

I picked up many great, motivating and inspiring truths in the book. Here's one of them that I read just today.

"...Most of the time God delivers us (or is in the process of delivering us) while we maintain a veil of secrecy to protect our reputations and public perceptions. These secular scholars would be appalled if they knew how many of us were in serious trouble when we came to our wit's end and submitted to the redemptive work of the Lord. It was He who delivered us out from under the stress and the strain of our crises. His power forces open the fowler's snare that entrapped the mind. His Word gives us the grace to seize the opportunity to escape and go on with our lives!..."

Ooh... time to read more and go to bed. It's Friday tomorrow already! Not, looking at the time, it's TODAY. The week has kinda flown by... the year is picking up its pace.
