Joseph 4 Life Group Welcoming Party

Started the weekend with a Joseph 4 Life Group Welcoming Party at Eddie's place. Had a great time chillin' out with them all... had great food... ooo, yummy salad, coke chicken, vegetarian veggies, pakchoy veggies, fish, sausages, thai curry, lasagne, rice, eggs... etc.. the list goes on. So much food that there were so much leftovers. First time at a life group with so much leftover food! Wahaha... (apart from the time last year when Jace cooked 2 big trays of baked pasta...) wahaha....

Then had the whole of Saturday at JG Advance with the Joseph district. Hm... it was, different. Very unlike what I expected... they said, 'Workin' adults gotta chill more'. Hm... I guess it's different when you're a working adult in Judah groups! They don't chill!! LOL~ So... it's prolly a good transition... and I believe as the year goes, I'll be able to understand and explain more as I experience it myself.

...Interesting Conversation at JG Advance over lunch...

During JG Advance I kinda had a chance to chat with other JGs/Leaders over lunch.. and some how the conversation landed on music.. song writing... and then towards songs in the entertainment industry and celebrities. A comment was passed, with no intention of judging, in regard to the authenticity of the faith of these artistes with regard to their conversion and purposes of being Christian.

As to whether or not their faith is authentic or not, it is not for us to judge. But I believe we can pray... whether or not it's a sudden conversion, but I believe as they profess Jesus to be Lord and Savior, the Spirit is already at work in their hearts.

As I was taking my shower, the Spirit reminded me of a verse in the Bible, that so assured me in regards to God's hand in the entertainment industry.... and His work in the hearts of this artistes... whether or not they have backslided or whether or not they are using Christ's name for the sake of their own gain and fame. May the following verses speak to you... :)

It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice...

I really do believe that God is going to do something in the entertainment industry... and I believe it so strongly deep within. Holy Spirit - take over!

Cool bits of Sunday

...Rest...

Today was great too. I had a great lie in just to replenish my energy since I haven't had much rest since returning from Singapore. So I woke up around 10am, and just lazed around the house until 12pm for JG Muster.

...Saw Atieno...

I was so happy to see Atieno too! It's been so long since I met her... I thought I wasn't gonna see her in Brisbane again... which meant I'll have to fly over to Kenya for her wedding man! We had our long lost homegirl catch-up over a few 15 minutes... and it was funny cuz I seemed to know more people in the African Life Group than she did. Ah... I'm part of the 'crew' you know... can you feel it? Haha.. I'll be prayin' for you girl! She's having to have some time transitioning back to Brisbane... and I know how that feels.
Girl, I'll be meetin' you soon yeah....

...JG Muster...

Had a good JG muster... followed by woolshed with my awesome mates... and just chillin' over pizza and coffee at Schonell pizza cafe. Ahh... I really miss them... and will be missing them as I hop over to Joseph group ya know? But I guess this isn't the first time people come and go... and I believe what has been established by God cannot be easily shakened! God is GOOD!

...Serving in Security...

Had a great time being Security too... caught up with Maggie and got to know about her story with Richard. Hee... they're getting married in August.. how nice...! Vicky Qiqi came to church too and brought a guest whom she met along the street too! God is good!

...Catching up with different ones...

It was also fun to catch up with many ones in Church... those whom I'm close with and those whom I'm not very close with. But it was encouraging to have people, just like a family, who recognised your presence, when you were there.. and when you were not there.

...An encouraging brother...

I was pretty encouraged by a brother who came up to me to tell me how important Security personels were.. and just being able to show concern when he heard me coughing. I wished I had the same courage to approach others this way... sometimes, I see someone in need, but I hesitate to show concern, as much as I want to. The Bible says that faith is completed by actions! I can't just want to help, encourage or comfort someone.. I have to DO IT! May I find courage to exercise faith.

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

...Dinner with Judah 6...

Had dinner with Judah 6 too... and it was awesome. I'm so so so gonna miss everyone... I believe though 2009 was a year of trials and difficulties... yet God delivered me through those times, and set me standing firmer than I was before.

He also placed an awesome bunch of friends in my life... making 2009 a wonderful and enjoyable time amidst the difficulties! Friends whom know what I'm thinking even before I say something... great team of P&W musician and leaders who knew what each other mean just by eye contact... and just deep bonding and praying brothers and sisters who would go all out to stand by one another. Judah 6 2000... people of Faith, Hope and Love. Keep shining for God wherever you go!!

Also met a new friend - Nicole. They said that the two of us are very alike and crazy... Haha... Judah 6 will have lots of fun with her around... wahaha... it somehows reminded me of the 'Hi My Sweetheart' show that went along the line, "If fate made you lose one Da Lang, then fate will give you another Da Lang."
Wahaha...... Don't understand? It's ok!! Not important! :)

...Caught up with Evelyn...

Caught up with Evelyn too.. she sent me home and we chat for awhile in the car! Yeah.. we'll be having a great time over sweet potato leaves on Wednesday yeah? Hee hee...

Yes.. many many little things.. I'm so blessed by the many different ones that God has placed in my life. And God is so awesome and real in my life... even in helping me adapt back in Brisbane. God is GOOD! Hee...

Gotta share this wonderful love of God to those who's not yet known Him! :) He is only.. good and GOOD!

I was also following on Jaeson Ma's blog... and read the story about the homeless man that God led him too. Let us look beyond our circumstances, weaknesses and inadequacies to see the world out there whom we can make a difference in - with whatever little we have.

Back In Brisbane

Back to Business... ah... the responsibilities and all~ But also a fulfilling plan ahead yeah!

I'm excited!!

The flight home was quite bad... air turbulence and horrible movies... only thing that I remembered was watching Fung Yun... until I fell asleep.. and somehow in a 'drunken state' due to the motion sickness medication... I heard my first boy (Jeff Chang's songs)... my recent ex-bf, Jay Chou's songs... and my current ai mei relationship with Xiao Zhu's songs....

Wahahaa... ok.. lame... Dun take me seriously ok! I only had them on my songs playlist but I didn't know it would automatically play the songs after the movie..

Yeah... anyway.. I think that was the only good part... I almost fainted after disembarking though... totally unwell...

Anyway.. I had a great time cleaning my room, unpacking... showering, resting... and having my 3 hour intensive Jap class... oh.. my Japanese Surname is Yo!

Wahaha... Yes.. it's Yo-San here... check it out.. yo~!

Light + Entertainment Industry

Hm... an entry filled with words... but hope it blesses you.

What Light Does

Just returned from washing the dishes after dinner... it's like 7.30pm, and the sun was already setting, yeah... depending on where you are, you might wonder, does the sun go down so late/early? Hm... that's how it is in Singapore all year round.

So it was pretty dark as I was doing the dishes..... couldn't see where the oil stains were and where I was brushing detergent over. Mum came by and I asked, "Ma, can you turn on the lights for me?"

Ah... nice, clear and bright. Now I know what I'm doing!

Yeah, it kinda reminded me of how we do things sometimes. The world that operates in darkness tries means to clear themselves of sin by doing good, and trying to fix their situations by working things out without light.

How can we do anything GOOD if we're surrounded by darkness? Unless we have some... LIGHT?

Light makes our vision clear. Helps a lot if we would just be in the light. Fixing broken things can be difficult enough. Don't make it tougher by fixing it in the dark.

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:  "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Jesus is the Great Light that will illuminate our paths and fix our mess. Look to Him now...!

Entertainment Industry

In sequel to my entries regarding Xiao Zhu, I mentioned against judging him, but instead, to pray for him. And as I chanced upon Jaeson Ma's site, something jumped up in my face that affirmed what I was feeling.

I don't know many Asian artistes. Neither do I know many Hollywood artistes. But whoever I know, I do wanna pray for them. And I do see the hope of the Media and Entertainment Industry moving in the Supernatural - touching and healing lives.

I'm very blessed inwardly by the work God has called Jaeson to do and I believe that those who are called in this area can join in to pray over his ministry. I've been following his blog recently and I'd just like to share a couple of what affirmed and encouraged me to take hold of what the Lord has placed in my heart.

I wrote this East Week article a few months back … in light of Tiger Woods, we need to pray for those who are exposed in sin and darkness, love them and not judge them. Righteous Role Models, not Celebrities

I always tell the celebrities and artists I work with to remember what Mother Teresa once said, “You are not called to be successful you are called to be faithful to God.” I challenge them to think about their choices, their actions and how the messages they convey will directly effect future generations. I cause them to realize that whether they like it or not, they are ROLE MODELS to society. The question is whether or not they will use their influence for selfish gain or for selfless causes?

Prophetic Word on God's Movement in Media and Entertainment

There I released a prophetic dream and word on what God is currently doing in media and entertainment. For those of you who are called to this mission field you must listen to this word given. As someone once said, “Whoever controls the media, controls the minds of a generation” it is time to influence this culture shaper with God’s creativity, with that which is truly good, true and beautiful.

The video was extremely long. I mean it still is.. lol. The video also talks about what God has been doing in the lives of Edison Chen and Bro Vanness.. and many other artistes. God is GOOD!

Took me a long time to finish watching it. But I am greatly blessed by the video, the prophetic words, the prophetic dream and the teaching he gave. I strongly encourage everyone who has a burden for the media industry to spend some time to watch the clip till the end, because good things at the back are worth waiting for!

I was also reminded of a decision I made last year to give up writing a story I spent years writing - When South Meets West. Back then, I remembered writing in an entry last year:

"Am I sad? I was.... I mean like..who wouldn't be. 3 years of my hard work... I cry at the thought of it. I hestitated at the action to accomplish the decision. But God's promises are all YES and AMEN. And His promises won't let go of me. Three years will be nothing when I look down maybe some what more than 3 years... 5 or 10 years later, and looking back... that fruit, will be a much greater blessing. Yeah.. I was reminded in the clip when Jaeson mentioned about the need to go through preparation - not man's ways, but God's ways. God has His way of preparing us... and lots of prayer and intimacy with God is what we should first seek!

"If you are not well equipped and with God, Hollywood will eat you up!"

I'm still seeking and finding my calling... and I believe God will reveal it to me as I remain faithful to what He's called me to do, and what He's given me. Faithfulness is something I gotta learn and practice. Not just learn, but practice.

I'm holdin' on to those prophecies made about me and waiting to see the fruits.



So... my luggage is kind of packed and done... a little more than 1 day in Singapore and I'mma be on the plane back to Brisbane. Mixed feelings... but I'm good, cuz I know God's got me covered!

Chilled out with Wushu pals last night at Bugis... didn't take any photos la. Quite tired of hovering around with a CAM. Haha.. It was great just catching up and see how much everyone have grown in the past year.

I went back to SP Wushu Training grounds too... didn't recognise most of them.. foreign and unknown faces... only recognised Eugene, KY and Xing Yan. Yeah... it was great just chilling with them, even though not much was said. Especially KY... wahaha... he said, "你还是很了解我."

是啊...!

And it was quite funny... would be so great if Sam was around too. I think a certain kind of bond cannot be easily broken isn't it. Sometimes I'd check back and chill around my old entries in my previous blog that I have decided to abandon. And looking back at those times... I see how much God has transformed my life... God can make you're life better.

I don't like changes... but when changes make me better, I enjoy the benefits of changings after the difficulties! God is good!
