Nice weekend

A great weekend's just passed...

I'm so happy with my weekend....

365 Days of Love: Morning drive-a-round

Started my Saturday morning with another 365 Days of Love Act - Helping 2 girls by driving them to officeworks and Crazy Clarks to buy furniture and appliances for their stay in Brisbane. It was great getting to know them... one of them is Eliza's friend, Amy, who just came from Singapore/Malaysia to study in Brisbane.

It felt so great to be able to bless them in such a way... I remember when I first came to Brisbane and knew no one, there was Da Ge that helped us settle down.. and even as we got to know more brothers and sisters in the Church, so many ones freely offered their helping hand to us when we so needed it... God has placed such a community of blessing around me.. and the new brothers and sisters who have just touched down in Brisbane. Let us look around, and see if there is anyone in need...

365 Days of Love: Afternoon drive-a-round

Later in the day, I had the honour to drive Kuzi and Wen Huey to Judah 8's BBQ at New Farm park... Amy and Xingyu (the new girls I helped in the morning) came along, and got to know some friends in Judah8. And praise God for providence.. I managed to grab some lunch at the BBQ too!! Yay!

It was not long before I had to leave the BBQ to drive the 2 girls back home as they had to be home for an IKEA delivery... and also had to send Kuzi to Mt Gravatt's Metropolitan Funeral Palors to attend a friend's memorial.

I drove back to New Farm after that, dead tired from all that driving... There was a slight drizzle, that grew and grew, but I just lay on the picnic mat and enjoy the cool breeze until it was time to pick Kuzi up from Mt Gravatt.

Had the honour of driving Dexter too... this brother has blessed me so much in the past by driving me around, and now it's my great honour to be able to drive him when his car has broken down..! He might borrow Xiao Jie from me for a day or two... so yeah, no worries bro~~ 小杰就让你保管一两天! I trust your driving~~ just don't fall asleep driving can le.

A Wet Game of Basketball

Yeah... I think one of the best parts of the weekend was playing basketball in the rain. I thought it was fun playing basketball in itself... but in the rain? Scary initially... I was hiding in the shelter... but then Cintia and I decided we should start getting out there to shoot some balls... nicely, it stopped raining when we went out! So I started a game of ball with the boys...Cintia backed out halfway... lol... so she got replaced... and we just continued...

The fun part about it is watching everyone with funny expressions and actions just cuz it was rainy.. so the ball would slip off our hands and we would slow down at certain parts of the court.... I never thought it would ever be that fun...! But... hm... God has a sense of humor... I love what God has blessed me with that brought the greatest smile and laugh to me after this whole week of grumpiness...

Dead tired after the game and all that driving... I went home, took a shower, and fell dead on the bed sleeping.. skipped dinner and slept all the way till this morning...

Today - Awesome Sunday
Went to work at 9.30am, and then followed by making sandwiches for Church... and then woolshed with my new Jo4 core team... and then... had an awesome interaction at Missions Elective CDS - Being a Global Christian. I'm so happy to find others who have the same desire as me, and people who are so excited to see God's kingdom advance in the ways that God has so placed within their hearts..

Hope Church Brisbane... LET'S GO!!!

Also... had an awesome Vision Sunday at service today... Ps Wilson shared our vision for the year... and I was moved and inspired by him! I think he's done a lot of work in preparing that sermon in making it interesting for us... and I'm also so so so so so glad to see the whole hall filled to the max... and even in the simulcast room!

We're growing!!! God's people - lay firm our foundations... and then.. let's GO!!! GO FOR GOD!

Ended the weekend with an awesome dinner @ Cybercity with Jo4.. and was so surprising to see so many other groups from our church at Cybercity too... we just kinda BOOKED OUT the whole Cybercity.. lol.. amazing~

Anyway.. I think life's pace is gonna pick up again for me.... don't know if I'll have the chance to play ball any more after this week since rehearsals and WAC meetings will be starting... but I so thank God for the wonderful weeks of ball games... and since ALL THINGS work for the good of those who love HIM, I believe I'll be able to play a good game of ball again... when God deems the timing's right!

So now this is what I'll leave with you.. sorry not much photos this week... but yeah.. thanks for dropping by! Have a blessed week ahead...

And.. please keep praying so we can birth the fruit of prayer...

1) Did you stop... praying for Xiao Zhu? Hee.. if so... please seed another prayer for him!! :) And the other artistes in the entertainment industry~~

2) Pray that God will use us in our everyday lives to bless others sincerely..

3) Pray that in the midst of orientation, the labourers for God's house will not experience burn out, but instead be filled with His Strength and Spirit!

Thanks for praying friends!!!

Whatever You're doing God... I want to be a part of it.
Wherever You're leading me God... I'm eager to find out..
I'm excited... but walking with fear and trembling too..
But you'll lead me there... and that's where I'll embrace, the treasure you have in store for me.

Grumpi-fied O'Shannon-Miss

So, it's been a long week... O' Shannon - Miss was just being her grumpy self. No, not PMS, no definitely not menopause... just grumpy.

Maybe just cuz too much been in this week... but I also learnt to find peace and joy in God despite all circumstances... and in the midst of my grumpiness and tantrums, God's grace allowed me to even throw a big tantrum to Him!

Imagine me in my bedroom, having my grumbles and rattling (k, i'm not a snake), and just rambling till I found laid flat on the bed knowing I was out of strength and energy... and then... as I lay there and pondered, I knew my vulnerability, emptiness and concerns were all covered by the Love of Jesus.

For Him, I'm willing to become nothing.

For Him, I'm willing to be weak... so that His strength may be displayed in me..

Words may not be enough to tell anything... and neither will words fulfill my faith. I believe it will take action to couple the words...

So I'm going to try... yes... seek first His Kindgom and His righteousness... Trust in His plans, and not lean on my own understanding...

I'm so looking forward to this wonderful weekend... yeah... but before that... let me share:

My verses of recent revelation...

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
- Proverbs 3:5-6

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- Matthew 6:31-22

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
- Romans 10:7

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
- 1 John 1:5-10

Think about them... meditate on the Word. :)

Then let the train of prayers... take off~ :)

I think I'm tired of struggling... and I know when I stop,
then you will be able to do your work...
In fact, you have already started.
:)

Blessed Prayer Location

Before I head to bed, I thought I might thank God for His faithfulness!

Today we had prayer meeting as Joseph 4. Our leaders were having their Touching Heaven Prayer Meeting @ Princess Theatre, but we had to still keep the fire for praying here!

So Claire asked me to lead prayer.. and it's actually quite amazing, you might be shocked, but it's my first time EVER leading prayer. Well... for some reason I managed to escape leading prayer throughout my whole time in Judah 5 and Judah 6. Haha...

So we lost our venue for prayer today, and had to find another place in the last minute. By faith, I suggested Steele Building. I remember Project Passion used to have rehearsals there, and it has been pretty quiet a place to be even during semester periods.

We jumped into the Mother's Room where we usually use for afternoon service.. it was a good place to be used for prayer! We prayed and thank God for the place, and prayed that no one would come and chase us away. Yeah! No one did, and we had a great time of worship, sharing and prayer.

Yeah.. nice little room for prayer meeting!

Wrote the lyrics on the board! Good stuff!

William said the prayer points spoke to him, and I was so glad to see both Eddie and Yvonne, and even William, sharing their own personal experiences and how God has placed certain things in their heart.

I believe God will use Joseph 4 for a great purpose! Jo4, let's keep praying!

Alright, I'mma hafta rock up at work at 6am again tomorrow. So I'mma rock up in dream land first... yeah... hope to meet God in my dream tonight!!!

Oh.. yes I also need to share my testimony about how I got my car... another testimony on it's own! God is good!! Share, next time!

365 Days of Love - Spending Quality Time with 2 Sisters

So I woke up at 5am today cuz I had to be at work at 6am. It'll be a busy week this week.. tomorrow's work starts at 7am~ Oh yes..

It's quite amazing to walk to work like at 6am in the morning, empty streets, smell of the morning. I kinda love it, even though I'm not so much of a morning person. But yeah seems like sometimes I can get too acquainted with the hot 9am sun and arvo hotness, that I miss out of the gentle morning dew and dawn. Maybe that's why Jesus loved to pray in the morning... the air is so fresh, the streets are empty and quiet... just the appreciation of nature.. oh.. how nice!

So I finished work at 2pm today... came home, had some milo cereal. Then headed to Rosalie to transfer the registration documents for my car... Hehehe... My car's name is SiauYing (little Silver)... wahahaha... named after SiauYing~~ purposely to di siao her one... hehehe... actually my car is also called Xiao3 Jie2 (Little Jazz). Hehehe... 小杰? 周杰伦? haha...

I also thank God for the opportunity to give Veon a lift to her work and since we got there early, we had some time to catch up on each other's lives and the trials we were both facing in recent times. We shared for about 45 minutes and even had time to pray for one another!

365 Days of Love - Catching up with a beloved Sister while offering her a ride to work. When you bless others, you get blessed back!! It's more blessed to give than to receive eh..!

Anyway... after I registered my car, I drove to Koorong to get some stuff needed for life group.... then drove home... I got a Bible Commentary on the book of Acts from C. Peter Wagner.. Aieks.. when I came home I saw a discount brochure for Koorong at my dinner table. I always miss out on the discounts!!! Sob..

After that, I was supposed to go for my Japanese class. But then something inside me felt that I should catch up with Kuzi, who was feeling a little down lately...

So I skipped Jap class... and intended to take her for a drive up Mt Cootha or something.. but we ended up just talking for more than an hour in the car at our front yard. I could see she became happier and chattier after that...

After that, I asked her if she'd like to have some ice cream. And she said, there's always room for icecream. So I drove us to New Farm and shouted her Shlix Ice Cream. See the smile on her face... it's so valuable.

Happy Kuzi with Shlix Ice Cream - Cherry and Cookies

My Ice Cream - Mint and Rocher

After that we drove home, and spent some time praying for each other in the car.

It was a meaningful night... and I'm so thankful for this chance to spend quality time catching up on the lives of these 2 sisters of mine - Kuzi and Veon.

What I learnt from today's 365 Days of Love?

Take the initiative to catch up with the people around you. Be sincere in knowing their problems and be that listening ear. Like Jesus who went into Peter's boat and 'sat down' before teaching, let us 'sit down' in other people's lives, before opening our mouths.

God is good! 365 Days of Love is so contagious... keep the love spreading! If you want to be part of this 365 Days of Love, God will definitely open doors for you!

Last night my housemate Vivian made me a gingerbread man! So I ate it with Labby...

Cleaning Up J6 ministry house... + I got my car!

365 Days of Love - 20th February - Cleaning Up Ex-Judah 6 lifegroup Ministry House

So my ex-lifegroup, Judah 6, ministry house which is rented by Dexter, Marco, Raymond and Robin, was accessed by the property agent and a 2nd warning was issued that they will have to leave the house if it was not cleaned up and properly maintained.

So cut the long story short, we gathered our forces and decided to clean up the whole house today! Lots of work, but lots of fun when God's people unite and clean together!

Cleaning.. Cleaning

Cleaning the ensuite bathroom... wee hee... I became known as Miss Bleach today...

The boys working on the courtyard... my goodness.. is this fit for human inhabitation?

Smile and praise God!!

Well done boys!!

Heap load of rubbish from the house and courtyard...

Everyone dead tired after that.. but still loving a chill-out of fellowship!

Squeeky clean kitchen! (sorry, no 'before' picture)

Still heaps of stuff... but it's so much neater and cleaner now!

Going to Golden BBQ @ Chinatown for lunch after that...

Yeah... it was an eventful morning! But I loved it~

Oh yes... and I got my car!! Here's picture of it!

Went home and Venurs came over to watch Little Nyonya... but I slept for about one an a half hour... before heading to the basketball court for a game of basketball.. yay.... really fun! Just sweat it out!

Then came home.. took a shower and drove Kuzi to attend a friend's memorial at Sunnybank Hills... so Venurs, Wen Huey and I went to Green Tea Garden while waiting for Kuzi.

Now we're back home, dead tired... will be going to sleep in a second. Venurs is having a sleepover at my house tonight.. so yeah, show y'all a picture of what she's doing with my bear, Tian Hong 2, and dog... Labby Jever~!

The Ambassador - Thesis Pieces

I usually try not to put more than one rap song up each day... because I so wish everyone would be able to appreciate and reflect on the lyrics of each song....

But I was just so feeling it today, and decided I'd share up here another one of The Ambassador's anointed raps.... oh yes... bring the gospel to the rap society... praise the Lord.

[Verse 1]
Looks like it finally came around like the hands of a clock
Praise to Yahweh Nissi
Shout to the Banner—Shabach
This LP is two sided—for the man on the block
And for the flock who thinks keeping God's commandment is hot
On one side we wanna represent Christ to the Culture
Hip-Hop mostly knows Him for making tight little posters
Or a sculpture, but they can't view Him like they're supposed to
'Cause the gospel's never been preached to them like its' supposed to
And the life in Christ has never even looked like an answer
Except for locked up crooks and Big Mas with cancer
So, Ambassador is back to give you his thesis
The greatest need in Hip-Hop is the input of Jesus

[Hook]
It's the thesis we need this
The story in short
Hip-Hop properly submitted to the glorious Lord
It's problematic 'cause
It can be scary to like
But... Jesus makes everything right (2x)

[Verse 2]
My topic—the redemption of Hip-Hop you got it
But I told you that this thesis is at least two sided
Can't just introduce Christ to the culture like an evangelist
The church needs to be schooled on hip-hop culture so plan for this
I'm a Christian admitin' were wastin' our wisdom
if we don't engage the streets, peep the nation of Islam
They promote a better culture and faith integration
But no resurrection or message of grace that can save men
So God's diggin' in the meeting place
Looking for those needing grace
To launch out from the over crowded breeding space
What will He find?
Just what He designed—Hip-Hop's got missionaries
He brought up for these times

[Hook]

I'm kinda catching up on all these great raps that's been written like so many years ago... some even up to more than 10 years ago... whao.. raps with so much meaning that then secular music nowadays. Just a little sad that the music's been so limited to the Christian world it doesn't walk that extra step out there! At least, not as well known as the more secular ones... we need to pray!!!

Please enjoy them with me.. and let me know if you share this common interest with me! Hee... I know it's hard for many to like rap music too~~

Let's keep the entertainment industry in prayer!!!

Get You Open

I've been feeling quite depressed today... yes... my car's still not ready.. and my experiments... ah, more than a week's work of immunostaining and growing them cells, experiment failed.

Despite all these, God is good~!!

But anyway... I thought I'd hop on to the joint of hip hop that never fails to bring a smile to my face. So I'mma share with y'all today... another song from The Cross Movement - Get You Open.

They're so anointed in their lyrics, and I'm so in love with their raps... filled with truth!

Enjoy~

Lyrics:

[Hook]
We goin' get you op... we goin' get you open

[Verse 1]
Ready or not I gotta tell you from the top it's on
Christ is God, for Him I've got to rock this joint
I was born around the same time Hip-Hop was formed
Vacant lots were swarmed, kids from the block performed
Soon cocky's norm
Rappers and cocky form
Went together like college and sloppy dorms
But the flows were butter like poppin' corn
And the shows would get you hyped like Rocky horns
Some couldn't understand why Poppy warned
"Stay away" till the day when rappers like Biggie and Pac were gone
But prior Christ came and got me on
Taught me not to trust in the biological clock we're on
We're in the age where the caps are peeled
Even in school young guns'll have you runnin' like track and field
And life after the casket's real
And since that's the deal
His word gets spilled when I grasp the steel
Forget mass appeal my heavenly Dad can deal
With making His word something that all cats can feel
I'll let grace talk 'cause grace stalks the stray hearts
She's got something in store that's super like K-Marts

[Hook]

[Verse 2]
Do you see what I see?
Hip-Hop is a drug and it's got the city plugged like an IV
Gotta give it up—it's the voice of the streets
It doesn't take much—just a voice and a beat
You can keep a crowd hyper
Control the souls of a whole generation kind of like a modern Pied Piper
Face it; today ya favorite rapper's the icon
That's gotta hold on you like the wrap of a python
Lights on—Christ is the hype jawn
For Him I've gotta get my write on
So whether in the streets or in the booth
I'm a get at you, and I'm a prove you don't need the gin and juice
Mommie you don't gotta—DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT
And if you do it 'cause you wanna—STOP IT LIKE IT'S NOT
Son if you like the gangsta mind... think of where them gangstas wind

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
Nix your smarts
I know one who tricks the smart
Slick's his art; his canvas is your wicked heart
You're in a spiritual fog and it's thick and dark
And like a spiritual frog you get picked apart
But I know One who'll fix the heart
Trust me he'll set you free like the girl from 106 and Park
So shine your light like when a wick gets sparked
And if you don't give him props then the bricks'll talk
We switched up, we switched the pitch up
The lyrical mixture is fully loaded with Scripture
But some are fancy and cute
When people can't understand
They say, "ahh you just can't handle the truth."
Nah the bad news is; while the gospel's an offense
lack of clarity and substance just adds to it
So leave out the trivial tricks
Moms and kids can both love it—kind of like the cereal Kix

[Hook]

Try singing along. It'll make you smile! hee..

Lord, don't give me no more than your servant can bear...

Today + Appreciating brother Patrick

So Wen Huey and I just returned from an eventful night!

This was how my today went.

1. Woke up early in the morning at 6am (yes, that's early ok!). Did my quiet time and all... had my little whinge with God about the trials in my life... hehehe... and then God told me, "I will be with you!" and also "I care about the things that matters to you!"

Ho... yes, and AMEN!!!

2. Rushed out of the house before 8am so I could hit my office and work more on my lab presentation. I was totally freaking out, having to present something completely new to me - Pathways! Amazingly, the presentation went well... OK, here's the thing. I thought it was horribly bad... like it was the worst presentation I have ever done in my life! But my supervisor said it was GOOD, and my post-doc even asked me for a copy of the paper and presentation... and so did the others sing praises about my talk.
I feel really blessed, and I have to hand it all up to God, for He must have been the one behind all that!
Cuz, like seriously... I knew it was the worst talk I've ever given in my entire life..! So... Praise God!

In the words of 'Facing the Giants': Whether we WIN or LOSE, we will PRAISE GOD!

3. Waited for the Honda Jazz owner to call me to tell me what time I could pick up my car! And he texted around 1pm telling me the car did not pass the road worthy test as the tyres and brake hoses needed changing, and that the mechanic was going to ship the parts from Honda.... which might now take awhile. I was so depressed... but I guess it could be a blessing in disguise after all.. cuz tyres are like $100 each in Australia... so having that fixed before buying the car could mean myself saving up to $400??? Whao! I hope they change brand new tyres in all.. hehehe... let's pray!!

4. Went to the gym and jogged 7kms! Yeah!! Pushing up the limit!! Woo hoo... I wanted to try and hit 10kms but I thought I'd go easy on myself, since I was already hungry before exercising... the last thing I want is to faint and injure myself... lol..

5. Was walking home from the gym and met Bob! Hallelujah!! I so believe it was God's divine appointment for me to meet Bob.. cuz Atieno and I were both thinking of how to contact him.. and we believe God isn't done with Bob yet! So... having met him, I gave Atieno a call... and somehow she already felt and sensed that I was hooking her up on the line with Bob! God's divine appointment! We're going to keep this man in prayer yeah~~!! Let's PRAY!

6. Went home.. showered... and cut the long story short... we spent like 1 hour organising last minute accommodation for some friends... praise God... another divine appointment.. but let James tell you more yeah.. let's pray for them!

7. Lastly, cooked tang yuan and delivered them to Evelyn and Patrick. So miss my little meh meh and decided to bless her stomach with some hot ginger soup tang yuan... now I'm so afraid to get her cold stuff because of her gastric. I'm so sure hot ginger tang yuan will warm her stomach up! Hee...

2 different colour tang yuans

And for Patrick.. Wen Huey and I just decided we were going to bless this brother. He's been so tired running around doing errands for everyone, and never even stopped to consider his own health. This is such sacrificial giving... We thought we'd drive to Indooroopilly and bless him with hot ginger soup tang yuan and also a bottle of Chicken Essence to appreciate this brother. I know it was really random but yeah, it's so good to look beyond ourselves and consider those who's always been around us in different times of needs.

I some times feel like people who always give tend to forget about themselves. Which is good in a way, and harmful in another way, as they may over tire their bodies or even be unappreciated. But despite this all, I know Patrick just has a heart to honour God and be a blessing, friend and servant to those around him.. and I really admire him for that. May we pray that God will continue to prosper this brother in his giftings and talents from God! And that God will bless him mightily!

Go Patrick!! God sees your heart!

Yeah... so that pretty much sums up today.

Yesterday?

Oh yes.. it was pouring yesterday... so so badly... I was drenched at work while traveling between the IMB and AIBN. Oh well, wet socks and shoes.... it was practically flooded.. Flooded in many other places in Brisbane too! Cars were unable to move and roads were blocked off!
Ohhh!!

But yeah, the rain subsided a little towards the evening and I ran home in the lighter rain.. got wet and so jumped into the shower and refreshed myself. Spent some good time with God and my guitar... ah... even the heat and humidity seems to be affecting my guitar... sob.. my bao bei!

Then I had dinner with the Joseph 4 guys to celebrate Robert's birthday. Woo... we went to a classy JAZZ restaurant at Toowong... there was nice Jazz music... lol.. but it was too loud we couldn't really communicate with one another!! Roar!

Happy birthday Robert!

So yeah, that was all of us who came~

Anyway... photos! We had stonegrill... so we could cook our beef the way we wanted it! Dinner was $25 each.. includes an entree and main... Tuesday's dinner special!

My Entree - Mussels!

Claire's surf and turf

My prime rump - still uncooked...

Flipping over... wee!

It was interesting eh....

Anyway... have a great day y'all...

I'm just gonna do my best, pray and let God do the rest!

Happy Chinese New Year Day 1 + Valentine's Day

Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentines' Day to all y'all out there!

Just called home and talked with my family... hee... happy happy. And today and yesterday I spent my New Year Eve and CNY with my 2nd family... hee. Let the series of photos tell the story~!

Started the day off with a trip down to Gold Coast Convention Centre to check out the OC2010 venue...
(yes, if you read my previous entry, you'll know that's not my first event of the day... but anyway~~)

After that...

Went to test drive a 2002 Honda Jazz... decided to get it!

Then... went home...

Wen Huey, Kuzi and I shredded and cut the veggies for Yu Sheng... and then arranged them nicely...

Crackers made by Kuzi and Wen Huey

Prepared the Pomelo and 'red packets' for Yu Sheng...

So happy to open Pomelo! Wen Huey's powerful strength!

Then... reunion dinner at James' house:

Wee hee!! End product - ready to be 'lao'!

Before that.. take photo with our hard work... wahaha... now I finally understand how much work mama spend doing it... so much work neh~~ but so glad to see the smile on everyone's face. Wen Huey did the most work!!

End product~~! Look like salad.. wahahaha... got salmon sashimi inside!!

Ice kachang machine from Faith.. we made Ice Kachang for reunion dinner too!!

It was a good time we had... not really like reunion dinner though.. was more like a fellowship gathering.. but was fun anyway!! Wee hee!

After that...

We went to watch the movie 'Valentine's Day'. To me, it was a totally meaningless movie. And I even fell asleep through the movie. It burned deep within me when I was not even halfway through the movie. Thought I should just walk up and leave the cinema. But anyway, I enjoyed the aircon and slept instead.

The movie tried to portray what 'love' is. And I just didn't agree. Anyway, that is hollywood now. So... the devil's got hollywood in his hands... and as you all know, my heart burns for the entertainment industry. And this movie production, 'Valentine's Day', is just another one of those movies that shares the wrong message to the world.

Whoever control the media controls the mind of the current generations, and the generations to come.

If you think that movie was alright, then allow me to ask you a few questions.

1. Would you allow your children to watch this movie? (i mean say, if you had kids)

2. If you would, will your children grow up thinking this is what love truly is?

Even though it's just a movie, a lot may say, it can still create mindsets in the hearts of many... especially this generation. Take just one example in the movie. The main actor (the florist), proposed to his girlfriend.. so happy about his engagement. Then next thing, the girlfriend left.. and he was sad but realised he had his best friend whom he cared about and the next thing you see in the end of the movie - they get together almost 'immediately'.

Another example, the teenagers in high school, and all they think of is smooching and having sexual relationships with their other half. The whole movie made it seem like it is ALL OKAY. The world follows the celebrities...

People of God, are we to sit back and relax and enjoy the movie, or rise up to take back the media for God? May we pray for the entertainment industry and for God's righteous role models to rise up, instead of having celebrities to entertain and corrupt the mind of the people.

Please pray for the entertainment industry... take it back for God!!

Anyway, on a lighter tone... it's also Valentine's Day today~~ ha ha..

So, together with Judah 5, 6 and 8... we headed to sunnybank for dinner. Here's a picture of what I ate. Taiwanese Beef Noodle... my favourite~!!

Anyway, gonna sleep and have some rest for tomorrow lo!!

Please pray for me?
I just decided on a car. Tomorrow will be getting news on whether it's road worthy and going to do the transfer from the owner to me on Tues or Wednesday... please pray that it will all go smoothly in God's will and that there will be no problems that will crop up!

Please pray for Venurs!
She is back in Brisbane and going for a job interview tomorrow (Monday). Please pray that it'll go well and God will open the door for her to work in Brisbane!

Happy Chinese New Year's Eve

新年除夕快了!
现在好想家啊.. 多么希望能够马上买机票回家了啦..

かいる!!! Haha... my simple attempt to write 'go home' in Japanese.

Anyway, since I'm early and up this morning, I thought I'd blog... lest my event accumulate and exceed my blogging intentions.

Thursday evening:

After Jap class, Patrick offered to help me test a car that I saw online - Suzuki Liana. It was pretty nice.. but as I got into the car and drove it around, I didn't get no feeling of peace. And as I drove it around, there were some glitches here and there.... I thought I'd let it go..

But since we got home pretty late, I was determined to cook Tang Yuan for Wen Huey, and Patrick! It was the feeling of home man...

Cook Balls + Ginger separately...

Thursday's 365 Days of Love Act: Cooking Ballings for Wen Huey and Patrick - I love their happy faces!

We just sat around and chatted until 12 midnight and Patrick left, and we all retired.

Friday:

Extremely busy and dramatic day. I was having to do a lot of stuff at work, and it was getting me crazy. Thank God for loving colleagues who were there to help out here and there! I really appreciate it! I got home around 5pm and headed to Kenmore to test drive another car - 2000 Toyota Corolla. It was alright... I think the car's pretty old, and I actually felt like a pro test driving it. Just because of the checks I was doing on it... I'm surprised I got real down and dirty to make sure it was worth the buy. My decision? My offer is $7000, but on second thoughts, I think I'd not get it. Just because of the age and the amount of money I will need to fork out servicing and spending on the rego. Naw, not worth the cost. Plus, as I got down to the bottom of the car, I found some rust and as I touched it, the piant fell off. Sure tell tale signs of corrosion.

I think I'm getting real good at checking cars now!! Woo hoo....! But I still wished I got some experience from my cousin's husband at his mechanic... oh well...

So today I might pop over to test drive another 1 or 2 Honda Jazzs, and see how it goes... I'm still praying... y'all pray with me iight? Hee.. thank you. I never knew finding a car was this difficult... roar.!

Yes I'm roaring.. you can almost hear the tiger... cuz the Chinese Tiger Year is coming!! Muwahahaha!!! MY YEAR!

Well, anyway... after that I headed to Joseph 4 Life Group. Was there earlier to meet Ramesh for practice... I thought I was late but he was later!! Hahahaha... in a way, THANK GOD cuz I could get some time to go buy my dinner.. hehehe... I think our music chemistry is improving.. prolly just need a couple more 'collaborations' then we should make a fine team! Ha ha!

And Ramesh forgot lyrics.... so we had to write and do some abstract art here.... so.. here's the professionalism of 'working professionals'... erm...

'Very professional lyric presentations...'
(wahahaha....)

So after that... we had Bible study and somehow we became 'Teacher and Students'... and as usual, I'm the NAUGHTY STUDENT. Muwahaha~~

Giffy trying to steal Canadian Chocolate during the lesson... Yeah, Pei is back from Canada... I look forward to working and growing with her!

After LG, I went to chill at Judah 6's life group, they were wrapping up from an exciting time of CNY life group celebration. Wahaha... I miss them.. I miss them! But also, it's not the same too.... since half of them moved to Judah 8. But.... God established relationships will never cease!! Ho ho.. thanking and praising God for having them in my life...!

Saturday (today):

Woke up at 5am cuz I had to send Daniel to Roma St Train Station. Wen Huey wasn't confident to drive the manual car.. so I offered.. hee... I love driving. Thank God for blessing me with my driver license and skills to drive that I may bless others.

It was refreshing too.. waking up in the early morning, the air out there is actually pretty fresh and cool! Morning bikers were just doing their rounds along the roads and they were mostly Aussies. Oh well, as usual... the Asians just plaiyng chess with Zhou Gong in dream and lala land... hehehe...

Breakfast at Maccas after dropping Daniel @ Roma St Train Station
Saturday's 365 Days of Love

So that's my Saturday's 365 Day of Love Act I guess... Waking up early in the morning to send a brother to Roma Street Station! After that Wen Huey and I stopped by Milton's MacDonalds to have breakfast... and headed back home... and that's where I am now... at home, with my white washed dear baby fujitsu lappy toppy! Hee hee... I'm loving it. Windows Vista? It's cool anyway! Thank God for this blessing!

So I've got another busy and heavy day. In about half an hour, I'd be on Sergeant Andy's Toyota Echo, heading down to the Gold Coast to check out the 'Oceania Convention 2010' Gold Coast Convention Centre. Security in action... I'm loving what God has called me to do for Him!

Sergeant Shannon reporting for duty, Sir!

Hee hee.. I'm nice! Not scary at all... I promise~ *Wink wink*

I also bought Green and White Raddish at Chais, with cucumbers, plum sauce... gonna buy some carrots and hopefully dig out a pomelo... and all... and then.... make Yu Sheng tonight!!! Fun fun!!

Tiger year... I'M COMING~! Rooaawaarrr~~!!
